Jacketed Storage Tank

Function and use

A jacketed tank is engineered to maintain the contents at a desired temperature, whether hot or cold, through its specialized “jacket” enclosure. These tanks come in various designs to meet the needs of different industries and applications. One common type is the conventional jacket, which features a solid outer shell covering part of the tank without any internal components. The temperature-regulating fluid flows between the jacket and the tank, although this method is not the most cost-effective for heat transfer. Alternatively, half-pipe coil jackets are designed with horizontally wrapped pipes that are split lengthwise, allowing for improved circulation. SAT India can create a custom jacketed tank tailored to your specific application and, more importantly, provide expert advice.
