Nitrogen-Based Closed Loop Conveying System

Function and use

The SAT India Closed Loop Pneumatic Conveying System is engineered to transport materials to multiple discharge points, making it ideal for handling prills, flakes, powders, and materials that are hygroscopic, hazardous, or require contamination-free processing.

A key advantage of the closed loop system is its ability to recover and reuse the nitrogen gas used for conveying. Nitrogen is widely preferred by plants opting for this system because it creates an inert atmosphere, thereby eliminating the need for costly explosion prevention devices.

To enhance efficiency, a closed loop controller incorporating a flow sensor, process controller, and control element in a single unit is recommended. This compact and versatile design facilitates easy installation and ensures precise management of the compressors, contributing to improved system performance.

The system features a pneumatic hoist for unloading jumbo bags from pallets to the bag dump station, or for unloading from bulkers or manually. From the bag dump station or other feeding methods, the material is transported in a closed loop with nitrogen gas.

This process uses a small amount of nitrogen to convey the material at low pressures. Oxygen analyzers continuously monitor the O2 levels within the closed loop, ensuring a safe work environment and protecting human health.

Advantages
